Introduction: The distance-learning program in Coastal Zone Management at Nova Southeastern University’s Oceanographic Center provides a timely, credible forum for learning about key national and international issues and case studies related to the ecology and management of the coastal and marine environment, including ongoing research at the Oceanographic Center. The flexible distance format makes it ideal for adult learners, including working professionals and college graduates in a variety of related fields. Courses may be taken individually for general interest, undergraduate or graduate credit. We offer a full online MS in Coastal Zone Management and a 4-course Graduate Certificate in Coastal Studies. Our distance MS in Education with Specialization in Environmental Education is available through the National Graduate Teacher Education online program. The “Study Abroad” program provides a jointly-taught MS in Marine Biology with a field station of the University of London.

Introduction: Presidio World College, an affiliate of Alliant International University, offers an MBA in Sustainable Management. This unique masters degree program is one of the first of its kind to integrate social, environmental and ethical values into a core business curriculum. As a student in our two-year MBA program, you'll learn the business basics of managerial accounting, finance, strategic management and managerial marketing with sustainability concepts integrated within each course. You'll also gain the building blocks for managing a sustainable business and implementing sustainable initiatives within organizations. In addition, you'll learn about the human dimension of sustainability -- how to be a better leader, team player and a more effective communicator. Classes are held one three-day weekend per month in addition to regular online discussions and assignments throughout the semester. Presidio's faculty includes worldwide business educators and leaders in the sustainability field such as Natural Capitalism co-author Hunter Lovins.
