Three spectacular mountain ranges tower above deserts, plateaus, and the dazzling Pacific coast, and every kind of recreational opportunity is available here.

The environmentally-minded will enjoy more than just weekends of skiing, biking, and whale watching, however. Environmental careers are thriving and outlooks for all sorts of jobs look promising through 2012.
